China’s July coking coal imports rise 18% on month
China’s coking coal imports in July grew about 18% on month or 1.8% on year to 7.8 million tonnes, with the added volume mainly from Australia, according to the latest data from the country’s General Administration of Customs.
For July, Australia exceeded Mongolia, becoming China’s top coking coal supplier with the quantity approximating 4 million tonnes, some 40% higher on month but 12% lower on year, while the coking coal from Mongolia to China, dropped 4.4% on month but up 24.8% on.
