China’s March SiMn output grows 7% MoM, prices retreat
China’s silicomanganese output reversed up by 6.9% on month in March after decreasing over the prior two months, mainly because of the fast growth in output in other production bases excluding Inner Mongolia.
Last month, China produced 892,520 tonnes of SiMn, increasing by 58,225 tonnes from the total for February.
Capacity of the surveyed smelters accounts for almost all of the country’s total. Among the total, production of North China’s Inner Mongolia slipped further by another 21,000 tonnes.
