India's coal production is increasing year by year, and imports of non coking coal are expected to s

  P M Prasad, Chairman and General Manager of Central Coalfield Company (CCL), a subsidiary of Indian Coal Company (CIL), stated that by the fiscal year 2025-26, the coal production of CIL is expected to increase to 1 billion tons, and stated that with the increase in domestic coal production, India's non coking coal imports may significantly decrease in the future.
 Last year, the Indian coal company achieved its production target, with actual production reaching 703 million tons. In the fiscal years 2023-24 and 2024-25, the company's production targets were 780 million tons and 880 million tons, respectively Prasad said. In the fiscal year 2025-26, the company's coal production is expected to reach 1 billion tons
